Funkymouse development.

Funkymouse development.

Quick experiment with different teeth. The first image has bucktooth goofy teeth the second are cleaner straighter lines. I like the goofy teeth however feel as though the set of second
teeth is more appropriate to Funkymouses character.

My favourite Head is still the one from the top left I don't think the other two are are as good.
I think that it captures Funkymouses characteristics much better than the other two.
He definitely looks more troublesome and mischievous in the top left

Small experiment with spray can and eyebrows.

Funkymouse development

I took influence from the sketch on the right when designing for this new head.
I took influence from the the jaw and applied it to a new head.

Quick experiments with the eyebrows.

Funkymouse development

I wanted design another head. Jus t to gig myself more options.

Funkymouse development.

Showing the two new developed heads together.
I am finding it hard to pick a favourite.

Funkymouse development.

Because Funkymouse is from another realm I started to look at
Bucky O Hare. I looked at some of the cartoons and took some influence from them. I decided to give Funky mouse a pair of ski goggles. It was fashion trend commonly seen in NewYork between the early 80's through to 90's and is now considered a retro look associated with that era.
I made a completely different head for this one so I needed to do a few
experiments with mouths and teeth.

I like this face but it makes the character look bait too goofie.

I applied it to the body and it made him look like he was a mouse that could
potentially be from another realm or planet.

Development of Funkymouse.

The doesn't look right there is something wrong I am trying to make this illustration look like a mouse but have human characteristics like the eyebrows, arms, hands, feet and spraycan.
I have chosen to use a spray can company that is not commonly used anymore by graffiti writers. It was commonly used in the early day's of graffiti writeing before companies had
started specifically to make and sell spray paint for graffiti.
I made the head smaller to give the character a more mouse like appearance.

I feel that it worked well, that is what was missing, his head was too big.
I also split the big bushy eyebrow into two. It was one of the final touches to complete the mouse.
 Everything is in proportion now.

Onoe.

More development of Funkymouse.

At the moment I have two characters i am quite happy with
there is a lot more work that needs to done.
They both have characteristics that work well with the characters profile.
The one to the right looks scruffy and abit more mischievous look to him.
I think that it is down to the body, spray can and cigarette . His body has more of a fluidness to it and has a overall good proportion throughout the head and body.

The eyes from the 2nd image are my favourite part of the illustration. I prefer the cleaner line around the top of the the head. However it the line need a lot of work it doesn't look quite right.

This is an initial idea for the final Funkymouse.

Becks bottled art.

Net for primary packaging of beer bottles. Deconstruction of a six pack of Fosters Gold (a picture of this packaging is on my design context) to exact scale to be used for myself. My plan is to create a limited edition packaging for six beck's beers around this net and these dimension.

The Slow Cooker.

Development of logo. My idea was to make the slow cooker icon into a logo that would represent the company on all of its products and ranges. However Adam has now changed the name of his business to the 'Hotbox'. So myself and James will be designing for that name now.

The Slow Cooker.

My initial ideas came from thinking about the equipment that adam was using to cook with.

Quick experimentations with positioning of type around the icon.

Funkymouse development

First completed Funkymouse.

Funkymouse developement

Experientaion with different the eyes.
The reason for the flipped ear is to make Funky mouse look abit scruffy.

The above illustrations are a quick experiment with making the light in the eye bigger and smaller.

I really like these eyes they give the character a menacing look.
These eyes make the character look to nice.

This is a combination of the above two images. They compliment each other. The menacing
look of the 1st illustration mixed with the happy innocent eyes equals
the perfect eyes to match the nose and mouth.

The one above is an experimentation best set of eyes and an
experiment with both ears being of identical positioning to having an ear flip in the above images .

Funkymouse development

I started to develop the body

I used different shades of browns, greys and pink (colours typically associated with mice) to see if it made the illustrations jump of the page at bit more.

Development of Funkymouse.

Experimentation with the mouse in shades of grey and experimenting with ear positioning .
